Luck Runs Dry in El Paso
To the rhythm of
“Eeny Meeny Miny Moe”
To the rhythm of
“Eeny Meeny Miny Moe”
Spin the chamber, nice and slow
One-in-six, that’s how it goes
Loaded, empty, no one knows
Pull the trigger ‘n see who blows
One-in-six, that’s how it goes
Loaded, empty, no one knows
Pull the trigger ‘n see who blows
Count your sins and lay ‘em low
‘Cause God won’t watch this rodeo
Smoke, and powder, blood will flow
When luck runs dry in El Paso
‘Cause God won’t watch this rodeo
Smoke, and powder, blood will flow
When luck runs dry in El Paso
Steel and lies, that’s how we roll
No man leaves here with a soul
One last breath, the lights go low
Say your prayers. It’s time to go
No man leaves here with a soul
One last breath, the lights go low
Say your prayers. It’s time to go
A high-stakes, deception-based card game designed to explore trust, betrayal, and survival under pressure.
The game is simple, but the stakes get personal. Players bluff, accuse, and gamble their lives to survive in a tense game inspired by the suspense of Russian Roulette and the brutality of Uno. The rules incentivizes betrayal and rewards successfully lying through your teeth. Playing honorably can be a good way to build trust in the beginning, but it leaves you increasingly vulnerable to a brutal punishment.
Created as part of a studio exploring team collaboration,
this project flips the prompt on its head.
